Keren Faber Baumel
Therapy, guidance, consultation
Hi, I am Keren. A psychotherapist, partner, and a mother of three. I currently live with my family in New Jersey and offer both in-person and online therapy.
I have more than 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. I provide therapy around a wide range of emotional difficulties and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, social difficulties, emotional overload and burnout, as well as issues related to identity, relationships, and parenting. I also work with families during periods of change, including relocation.
My therapeutic work integrates psychodynamic approaches with additional tools as needed, while adapting the process to each client and to the stage they are in.

Areas of Expertise
Women, Motherhood, and Relocation
I support women navigating change, emotional overload, and the search for renewed balance, identity, and direction. This work often centers around parenting, relationships, career, personal growth, burnout, or significant life transitions.
You may be in a time when everything looks fine on the outside, while inside there is confusion, overwhelm, loneliness, or a quiet sense of distance from yourself. Together, we pause, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and create space for clarity and renewed connection to your needs, wishes, and strengths.
For the past decade, I have also accompanied women through relocation and moves abroad. This is a process that can unsettle one's sense of belonging and identity. This therapeutic process offers space to find stability, meaning, and direction within a new reality.
Children and Adolescence
Childhood and adolescence are meaningful periods of change, growth, and identity formation. During these stages, children may experience social challenges, attention and focus issues, anxiety, fears, or difficulty with emotion regulation.
In my work with children and adolescents, I create a safe, professional, and age-appropriate space where we can better understand their experiences, emotions, and the challenges they are facing. My approach integrates a developmental and emotionally attuned approach, age-appropriate conversation, therapeutic play, and practical tools that support coping with everyday life.
I see parents as a meaningful part of the process, and offer parent guidance and family support when needed. Often, real change for a child grows from the support around them at home and in daily life.
Autism
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults on the autism spectrum for over twenty years. There is no single approach that fits everyone. Each person needs a thoughtful, careful understanding of their challenges, strengths, and the way they experience the world.
My work includes emotional support, building social skills and a sense of confidence, and tailoring care to each person's unique needs. Over the years I have also gained extensive experience consulting schools and multidisciplinary teams, since meaningful change sometimes requires careful coordination across the systems around a person. I believe in care that holds both the person's inner world and the contexts around them, with sensitivity and clinical depth.
Online Sessions
I have worked with clients online for over a decade, with deep experience creating a professional, effective therapy experience in a virtual setting. Online sessions are a good fit for those who live far from the office or have a busy schedule, offering accessible care that preserves the sense of intimacy and safety of in-person work. Sessions are suitable for clients living in Israel or the United States who are looking for professional, consistent, and accessible support that fits into their everyday lives.
